Can you help? The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program needs volunteers to do taxes for those in need.

You don’t have to be a tax expert to make a difference. You’ll receive training and support, and you get to decide how often you volunteer! Sign up today at canada.ca/taxes-volunteer. Free software, laptops, and training are provided by CRA. You can choose to volunteer as often as you like, with options to volunteer in person or virtually.

By volunteering through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, you will be helping those in need do their taxes and get the benefit and credit payments they may be entitled to. Contact us today by phone or email to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

To participate this year:

  1. register for the CVITP
  2. If you intend to file returns electronically, apply for or renew your EFILE number.
  3. Obtain a valid Police record check (PRC), if your role requires one. Please review Volunteer at a free tax clinic for more information.

CPAPEI will be hosting our clinic at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre in March & April. We send an email in January for members to sign up for specific the time slots but for now, please register online by December 31 if you can help.
